FAQ

  • What is consent for personal information collection?

    The Personal Information Protection Act (enacted on March 29, 2011, Law No. 10465) regulates the handling of personal information to protect privacy from collection, leakage, misuse, and abuse of personal information, thereby promoting the rights and interests of citizens and realizing individual dignity and value. Personal information protection requires consent for the purpose of use and third-party provision when collecting personal information online or offline.

  • What are the specifications for the entries?

    You can submit up to 3 entries per person.

  • What are the specifications for the entries?

    Digital image files (jpg, jpeg) taken after January 1, 2024, with the long side at least 3,000 pixels, and metadata (such as date) must be verifiable.

  • Is any editing allowed, given that composite photos are not permitted?

    Composite photos are excluded from judging. Adjustments to shadows, highlights, color tone, or saturation through software like Photoshop should only be used to make the image more closely resemble the scene you intended to capture. Excessive editing may result in disadvantages during judging.

  • Is online submission the only option for entries?

    Yes, submissions through the contest submission page online will be only accepted. Other methods like email or postal submissions are not allowed. Please review the submission guidelines carefully and ensure your entry meets the required format and specifications.

  • Can I submit work photographed before January 1, 2024?

    No, this is not allowed. The shooting date in the original file metadata will be verified during judging, and any manipulation of dates may result in disqualification.

  • Are there any issues with portrait rights if unknown people's faces appear in the photos?

    Portrait rights issues must be resolved before submission. The photographer bears full responsibility for any legal issues that may arise later.
